Mini session or full session: which boudoir session is right for you?

Mini or full boudoir session? Time, images, price and who each suits, so you can choose the session that fits you.

What is a boudoir mini session?

A boudoir mini session at Touchless Photography is a 30-minute private session in the St. Albert studio. It includes one outfit change and seven professionally edited images. Turnaround is quick, at 3 to 5 business days, so your images arrive fast. The session starts at $395, and payment plans are available.

Everything about the mini is designed to feel manageable. The studio is private. The experience is fully guided from the moment you arrive. Ckenzie looks after you and directs every pose, so you never have to figure out what to do with your hands or worry about looking awkward. The word "guided" matters here because it means you are not left to work things out on your own.

Because the session is 30 minutes, the pace is focused. You come in, you get settled, and you move through one look. One look does not mean one expression or one energy. Within a single outfit, there is a lot of ground to cover: different angles, different moods, different poses. Seven edited images is a real collection that tells a story about you on that day.

The mini is a private experience from start to finish. No other clients are in the studio at the same time. No images of you are shared anywhere without your written permission. That privacy-first approach runs through everything at Touchless Photography, and the mini is no exception.

What does a full session include?

Full sessions at Touchless Photography come in a few shapes, and the right one depends on what you are celebrating or working toward. The two most popular are the Women's Empowerment Boudoir session and the Bridal Boudoir session.

"Starts at $595. Payment plans available." That is the Women's Empowerment session. It runs for one hour, includes 12 professionally edited images, and comes with full digital files. The posing guidance is emotion-led, which means Ckenzie is paying attention to how you feel as much as how you look. There is room to try different things without watching the clock quite so closely.

The Bridal Boudoir session runs for 1.5 hours. It includes 2 to 3 outfit changes, 16 professionally edited images, a handcrafted 8x8 fine art album, styling support, and a private online gallery. It starts at $1,095, with payment plans available. The album is included in the package, which sets this format apart from the others.

Couples Boudoir is also a 1.5-hour session. It includes 2 to 4 outfit changes and 14 professionally edited images, and it is open to all couples, including LGBTQ+ couples. It starts at $795, with payment plans available.

Every full session happens in the private St. Albert studio, and every one of them is fully guided. The longer format simply gives you more room to move through the experience at a pace that feels right for you.

Time and images: the clearest difference

The simplest way to compare the two is to look at time and images.

The mini session is 30 minutes with 7 edited images and 1 outfit change. The Women's Empowerment session is 1 hour with 12 professionally edited images. The Bridal session is 1.5 hours with 16 edited images and 2 to 3 outfit changes.

That is not a judgment call. It is just the shape of each format. More time means more images, more outfit changes, and a longer stretch to settle into the experience. If you are someone who takes a little while to warm up, the extra hour of a full session can feel like a gift. If you know exactly what you want and you are ready to move, 30 minutes is more than enough to create something beautiful.

The 3 to 5 business day turnaround on the mini is worth noting if timing matters to you. What is the same across every format is the editing standard, the private studio environment, and the fully guided approach.

Every image that leaves the studio has been professionally edited. Seven images from a mini session are seven finished, polished photographs. Twelve from a full session are twelve. Neither number is a consolation prize. They are different sizes of the same extraordinary experience, and both are designed with every woman in mind. You can explore all session formats on the Sessions page.

Price: what you pay and what you get

Price is usually where the comparison gets real, so here it is plainly.

Mini session: starts at $395. Payment plans available. Women's Empowerment: starts at $595. Payment plans available. Bridal Boudoir: starts at $1,095 and includes the 8x8 fine art album. Payment plans available. Couples Boudoir: starts at $795. Payment plans available.

The mini is the lowest entry point. For someone who has never done a boudoir session before and is not sure how she will feel in front of the camera, starting at $395 is a lower-stakes way to find out. You still get a private, guided, fully professional experience. You just get it in a shorter window with fewer images.

Add-ons are available for any session. Hair and makeup can be done in the studio before the shoot for $150 per person. Extra images are $25 each. If you fall in love with your gallery and want more of what was captured, a full gallery upgrade for the mini is $250. Extended session time is $150 per hour, though this does not apply to Christmas Minis.

Payment plans are available across every session format, which makes it easier to plan without paying everything at once.

The starting price difference between a mini and a Women's Empowerment session is $200. Whether that gap is worth it comes down to what you are looking for on the day, and the next two sections will help you figure that out.

Who the mini suits best

The mini session is a strong choice for a few specific situations.

If you are new to boudoir and curious but not fully sure yet, the mini gives you a complete, private, guided experience without the commitment of a longer session. You walk in, you move through one beautiful look, and you walk out with seven finished images. That is a real result. If it lights you up, and it very likely will, you will know exactly what you want next time.

If your schedule is tight, 30 minutes is genuinely doable. A lunch break, an afternoon window, a morning before the rest of the day kicks in. The quick turnaround of 3 to 5 business days means you are not waiting long for your images either.

If you have a specific outfit in mind and one clear vision for the session, the single outfit change of the mini fits that perfectly. You do not need two or three looks to create something meaningful. One look, done well, is enough.

If budget is the deciding factor right now, the mini is where sessions at Touchless Photography begin. You still get the same private studio, the same guided approach, and the same editing standard. All of that starts at $395, with payment plans available.

The mini is also a great choice if you want to do something for yourself and keep it simple. No grand occasion required.

Who the full session suits best

The Women's Empowerment session or the Bridal session may be the right call if any of the following sounds like you.

You want time to settle in. Some women hit their stride at the 15-minute mark. Some need 30. If you know you take a little while to relax and stop thinking about how you look, an hour or more gives you that room. The emotion-led posing guidance in the Women's Empowerment session is specifically designed to follow your energy, not rush it.

You want multiple looks. Two or three outfit changes let you explore different sides of yourself in one session. A full session has room for that in a way the mini simply cannot.

You are preparing a gift. The Bridal Boudoir session includes a handcrafted 8x8 fine art album as part of the package. If you want a finished, tangible product to give or keep without buying it as an add-on, the Bridal format already includes it.

You want a couples experience. The Couples session is 1.5 hours and is open to all couples, including LGBTQ+ couples. It covers 2 to 4 outfit changes and 14 edited images with full printing rights.

You want the most images possible. If you know you will want a larger gallery to choose from, a full session delivers more at the starting price. The mini session guide is a good place to read more about how both formats are set up.

Add-ons that can change the picture

One thing that makes the comparison less fixed than it looks is the add-on menu. You are not locked into exactly what the session description says.

Hair and makeup in the studio is available for $150 per person. If you want to arrive and have everything done on site so you feel completely taken care of before the session begins, this is the way to do it. It works for any session format.

Extra images are $25 each. If your mini produces more images than the included seven that you love, you can add them one by one rather than upgrading the whole gallery.

A full gallery upgrade for the mini is $250. If you want everything captured during your 30-minute session, not just the included seven, this is how you get it.

Extended session time for a full session is $150 per hour. If you think you will want more time, ask about it when you book.

What this means practically is that a mini session can grow. You can start at $395, add hair and makeup, and upgrade your gallery if you love what you see. You can also keep it exactly as it is. The choice is yours.

None of the add-ons change the fact that the session itself, in whatever format you choose, is private, guided, and entirely about you. That part is the same no matter what you add.

If you are still working out which direction feels right, the Sessions page has all the formats in one place, and the mini session guide is a great next read. You are also welcome to visit the Home page to get a feel for the studio before you decide anything. As Ckenzie puts it: "When you walk out of my studio, you're going to be so incredibly happy that you took this time for yourself."
